general updates

I haven't really let people know about this new blog attempt because I'm still trying to get the kinks out of learning the new format.

But I did send the link out to a few people & I'm starting to post links to it from other places - so I just thought I'd post a quick update since I haven't posted anything in a bit and since I can no longer post pictures on my old website.

Unfortunately, my old site is kaput.  I spent over an hour on the phone with mac support last weekend and we did finally determine that there is some corrput file somewhere that is preventing me from posting new stuff (or editing old stuff, for that matter). I'm pretty bummed about that - I've loved having that site for the past few years and I'm sad that it's all done. I do have some ideas about how to recreate it, but it will be a time consuming process & free time is not something that I have an abundance of right now - so I'm not sure if that'll ever happen or not. Meanwhile, the old site is still available for viewing if you want to see it.

Now I'm tring to use this new format - but I.m running into some roadblocks with the format here on blogger. I may be missing something that will allow me to arrange the posts in a better way, but so far I can't find it.  I've spent a few hours trying to get it right but it's still not working out the way I want.

So - the jury is still out as to weather I'll continue to use this blogger format or if I'll try to ressurect/redo my old site on the familiar iweb format that I've known for the past few years.

I do like that I can access this from work! That's a plus!!

We're off to Hawaii next week for a little vacation. It'll be Maddie's first time there in person (she was there with me just a few weeks before she was born. )  We're looking forward to it! Pictures coming soon.

this week

I'm at a crossroads with my website issues.  I have determined officially that my old website is kaput, it will not publish any changes or new posts.  Bummer.  I do have some ideas about how to recreate it, but it will be time consuming to do so and free time is not something that I have an abundance of right.  I'm not sure what I'll do - but at least I can still see what was published previously.

So I'll keep posting here & hopefully I'll figure out the kinks in the layout of this new format.

Maddie & Jason this evening

Just some random moments from our evening.  We were home from the beach and I just captured a few sweet moments of Madeline winding down for the night with her dad.  See a few more pictures here.

We went to the beach this evening right around sunset time.  Maddie had fun running around in the sand, then up on the Bluff park.

Madeline loves reading.   She's just starting to have an interest in reading the volume of Madeline stories.  I loved this book when I was a kid and I'm sure that had some influence on me picking that name for her.  It's fun to see her learn that story.
